THERAPY & TUTORING

What is my professional approach?

Conductive Education emphasizes a holistic approach to develop an individual's personality and skills in all areas, such as motor, cognitive, social, communication, and self-help, through fun and age-appropriate activities. With this approach, we aim to foster an active desire to learn and accomplish rewarding challenges rather than perform "must-do" therapy tasks. We focus on improving individuals' abilities to their highest potential by teaching them practical skills that they can implement in their everyday lives.

As Lao Tzu’s famous quote says:

“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.

If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

I will happily support your child's learning process by:

  • Conducting comprehensive and targeted assessments and evaluations specific to them

  • Setting up educational and therapy plans with short-, medium- and long-term targets according to the assessment results

  • Helping to develop their motor, cognitive, communication, social, and sensory processing skills through age-appropriate and fun activities

  • Helping to improve their self-help skills, such as eating, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene

  • Utilising specialist strategies and tools to ensure that they fully access learning and the national curriculum

  • Ensuring and supporting the development of their emotional wellbeing

  • Writing assessment and educational therapy reports

  • Using Augmentative and Alternative Communication methods if needed

  • Collaborating with other professionals working with them and attending team meetings (e.g. EHCP, TAC)

  • Providing additional training to family members, carers and babysitters if required

  • Advising on special needs aids and equipment specific to them

  • Performing personal assistant and carer roles upon request (e.g. PEG feeding, manual handling, hoisting)
